LawfulGov.Org A mission to preserve the responsible exercise of free will Implementing political and legal interventions against overreaching government Your Nexus to the Freedom Movement
The Situation
With the advent of the so-called USA Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Office, and with them such abominations as Total Information Awareness and the illegal suspension of Habeus Corpus without a declaration of war, everything is in place for an American fascist state unprecedented in imagination. Add to that the very real possibility that unjustified and aggressive American adventurism in the Middle East may trigger terrorist reprisals, and there is a solid possibility that we will be under overt martial law at some point in the reasonably near future. The machinations are all in place now. Yes. It's a desperate situation. And it's no coincidence that it comes at a time of general financial hardship. It's all by design so that you will be more concerned with your physical survival than the country's constitutional survival. Conspiracy theory? If you like. Wacko insanity? No. You know it. Just look at all the facts and events. The pattern is clear.
Through the Federal Reserve, our money has been inflated beyond recognition. A gallon of gasoline has gone from ten cents to well over two dollars in less than a single lifetime. A loaf of bread, from one penny in 1910 to nearly two dollars today. More than half of both of those inflated prices are hidden taxes! The income tax fraud has worked in tandem with the Federal Reserve to set into place the most efficient national bankruptcy machine one could ever want. The Fed pumps in worthless money to begin with, inflating prices through government lust for power and corporate greed for a "share of the pie", while the IRS sucks the excess out through the little guy's pocketbook so that by the time the funny-munney trickles down to the average American it is 100% liability. How is it possible that a country founded upon limited government, real money and individual responsibility could become a nation of overwhelmed, bankrupt, self-glorified victims? How have so many of you become wage-slaves? How is it that those of you who refused to submit have been sent to the powerless exile of the inability to earn a living without yielding to unacceptable terms? I'll tell you: the failure of vigilance. Somewhere along the line, possibly even before your grandparents' time, the majority of Americans stopped paying attention. They became infatuated with the relative privilege of just being American, and they got caught up in all the trappings. They ceased being vigilant about their liberty. Meanwhile, a select few not only encouraged this, they nudged American society onto a course that would not only guarantee our ultimate submission to materialist chains, but that would get us there by engineering an obtuse mindset that added material comfort and irresponsibility to the popular perception of our rights. As one demagogue of the 1930's and '40's said, "A car in every garage and two chickens in every pot!" By means of a war of words waged through the public schools and the press, we have been successfully divided, conquered, and rendered politically impotent. Our children, from our own childhood on, have been taught lies about the Constitution and what their rights are. They've been told that the Constitution is out of date. They've been told that guns are always evil and that the Second Amendment is meaningless. They've been rendered stupid through malicious brainwashing and intentionally stupefying "education" techniques, instead of being taught. And they've been tricked into thinking that anything that's already been done is passe and that it is their inherent duty to be creative rather than to learn from the past. It's gotten to the point that there are now textbooks out there which teach that the Equator runs through Florida! And that the government creates our rights!! And the ever-lazier and increasingly dumbed-down average American has bought it. At a price that can only be paid in units carved from the soul itself. Yes, the situation is dire. Maybe, more so than you want to admit. Why? Because you are going to be asked to part with money and time to correct it. You're right, it's not fair that you have to pay for the negligence of the past few generations. But here we are: it's down to your willingness to give even more time and to spend even more money on reversing the American tax-slave and voter's mindset than they ever would have had to, so that correction can happen. We don't have a lot of time; the battle has already been all but lost. It boggles the mind to even consider it. Our domestic enemies have enjoyed the luxury of 150 years of steady calculated erosion to put us into a situation where we must reverse a tide that is already drowning us. Yet it is not impossible. Millions of Americans are objecting to the war in Iraq. Sure, too many of those people are single-issue protestors, but hasn't that been our own problem as Patriots all along? Haven't most of us gotten involved in this so-called movement only because we didn't want to pay an onerous tax? Or we were focused on the right to keep and bear arms? Or medical choice? Let's be honest. Didn't too many of us become part of the problem by trying to make the entire liberty thing satisfy our immediate desires? I submit to you that these new war protestors will be easier to bring into LawfulGov.Org and Institutionalized Vigilance than many of our own long-time patriots. Why? Because too many of the old-timers have egotistically vested interests in some other solution: they've been doing this for so long that they must be right; they've doing it because their religion demands it; they have sacrificed everything and are therefore entitled to honor.... All these reasons to fight among ourselves! All these reasons, none of which has yet stemmed the tide rolling in against us, all of which keep us divided. I submit to you that all these justifications for moral superiority are worse than mere bickering, they are what destroys us. I submit to you that it doesn't matter why you are moved to be an American, so long as you defend the Constitution and use it to constrain a government that has too long run amok with your money and over your rights. All with your implied consent. I submit to you that our "public" is waking up and crying out for our leadership. It's crucial that we act, that we get there immediately! Because, as always, if we don't answer that call, the Marxists will. But who is our real public? Is it the war protestors? Maybe not, or at least, not only: ultimately, many of them are liberals and leftists who would never support a group that wants to advocate the entire constitution and Bill of Rights. I think it's maybe only 20% of those who do vote, but almost 100% of the 50% of people who don't vote. Elections are being decided now by 51% of the vote with only half the people voting. The Bush-Gore score was 24% to 24% of eligible voters. So if we were to raise only half of the non-participating other half, we'd have our own 25% plus the crossovers from the other two camps who would finally be encouraged that their vote in the right direction will count for something. They're tired of voting against the greater of two evils where both "sides" are evil nonetheless. These millions of people crave inspiration. And I believe that in the lack of it, they are living lives of quiet desperation in anticipation of continuous illegal wars and the ongoing destruction of the American Dream. We need to get out there, find those people, show them some hope, and get them re-activated. This is what a grassroots movement really is: the raising up of an unexpected political storm. We need to put together a movement that will find them, move them, and facilitate them in the recovery of that dream!
Of course, we'll provide a lot of educational materials so Americans can rediscover how to be the Belligerent Claimant in Person, as strongly implied in our articles, Proactive Liberty and Just Say No to Tyranny! But just having a few million well-informed Citizens stand up to the massive fascism we're seeing develop in this country is not going to be enough. We are going to have to take action. But wait, it's worse than that! We need the organization in place, and the materials in hand, well enough in advance to be able to then commit them to executing our solution. We need to split the time between preparation and action. First, we organize and fund a 4,000-member network of dedicated activists filling 3,066 county and state facilitator positions, 435 congressional-district facilitator positions, 13 circuit and nearly a hundred federal-court facilitator positions, and as many city- and precinct-level facilitator positions as we can get. During which same time our research people need to be free and well-enough supported to produce all of the materials we need. This would be a core-sourced grassroots movement, guided by a bottom-up staffed organization of activist watchdogs. The focus in recruitment would be local, at the city and county level, with promotions to higher levels coming largely from within. The major criteria will be the ability to get results within a cooperative structure, hierarchically stabilized and locally reinforced. Then we need to begin monitoring at every level and using the courts and other legal action to force government back into its proper place. It's a huge challenge. And it's an expensive one, because it's so late in the day and we're more or less only finally showing up for the game. What we could have done for pennies and minutes from each of us over the years will now have to be done at a cost of dollars and hours. It is possible to do, but only for one reason: the internet. We have here a tool which, used properly, has the capacity to change whole countries in a matter of days. All we have to do is harness it, focus it, and employ it to our aims. Most of you don't get very far into the internet. You use email, and do a bit of surfing. Yet with just that, you are already more connected and potentially better-informed than anyone has ever been before. The internet is the promise. And we have figured out a way to make it the solution. We own an internet service provider (ISP) business. And we have begun to build a tool that is not subject to filters, that belongs to us, and that will make it possible for us not only to organize, but to become a tightly-knit and well-educated and trained force in American politics at the same time. Imagine if every one of those 4,000 or so positions I mentioned were filled with productive facilitators who were getting the word out effectively. Imagine if every one of those facilitators had a website within a coherent complex of similar sites that functioned as local and personalized contact points for the public. Imagine how much easier the facilitator's job would be if s/he could spend more time meeting people and introducing them to our position because s/he could spend less time talking and explaining. How? the facilitator would focus on finding receptive people and would then refer them to his or her website. He or she would meet someone, perhaps by knocking on doors in the neighborhood, find out that they might be interested, and hand them a "baseball-card" info piece that would direct that new person to that coordinator's website. No pressure, no long conversation, no selling: it's up to the neighbor at that point. Once at the website, the new person would have the impression of "owning" a local contact point on the web, one that focuses on that area's issues and solutions as well as on the state and national levels. On another level, people will hear about LawfulGov.Org because of our lawsuits and activism in support of limited constitutional government. They'd start looking for us! Imagine those websites containing the best-available educational and how-to resources so the new person could quickly come up to speed just by browsing the site. Imagine that person being able to use that site to access a local calendar of events and a list of local sponsors who want to do business with limited-government advocates. Imagine that a single uploaded file instantly updates every site in the complex, so that everyone has immediate access to the latest information: every time you access one of the sites, it loads dynamically with all the latest stuff. Imagine every one of those 4,000 sites serving as fund-raising locations to support the facilitators in pushing the movement forward. Imagine all that, reinforced by a national intelligence choosing and coordinating local and regional legal actions designed to set binding precedents against the abuse and illegal overextension of government power. Imagine the limited government movement actually (finally) becoming a true movement! Each facilitator will also have a designated LawfulGov.Org email address. Eventually, it will become possible for members to have their own LawfulGov.Org email address, too! Now, here's the really good news: we've already got the thing prototyped! In fact, the structural part, for the entire national organization, is already done! How? We have the use of a script that duplicates and customizes the website and structure at every level of a multitiered and multiple-location organization. All we have to do is set up each site and plug in the area-specific information and communication functions. This is an entirely new type of web presence. In fact, we've already "rolled out" a demo. The California State and several counties' sites are up and running. Adding a site is completely independent of content and structure and now takes less than 30 minutes. As we develop further automation tools, we expect to cut that time to almost nothing. You can check this solution out today. You can surf it up and down from the HQ and National level all the way down to the city level and back. You can explore the possibilities, and hopefully, be inspired by them. But first, please, I ask that you finish reading this proposal so you know everything you need to know about what you'll be looking at. {{Thanks!!}} How big is this thing going to be? I ask you to consider that question in light of the "First Law of Technology," often attributed to Paul Saffo of the Institute for the Future, although he was actually quoting his colleague, Roy Amara: A consistent pattern in our response to new technologiesWell, I'm the inventor, and I have to admit that in the beginning I saw more or less only one side of the potential. Now, as each week passes I see more and more in what this thing will do for us over the long run. Yet I don't think you can overestimate the short-term impact. In fact, what's being engineered in this application is to have just that: a tremendous short-term impact, as well as an unexpectedly broad future impact. The best of both sides. On the surface, each site is a simple page, but taken together the entire thing is a very elegant solution. It's an organizing, operations-management, and training site for the movement. It's an education site and a connection point for the public. It's a portal into the websites of the many and varied groups who are in alignment with the limited-government ideas and individual-rights guarantees of the constitution. It's a newspaper that will offer current and past news from every facilitator-site as each new site is added and mastered by its facilitator. And it's a notice board rating candidates and issues according to limited-government, individual-rights and competency standards. We'll even offer candidates educational materials to help them find their way to our view. Each facilitator will have to learn a few simple tools. However, these will all appear as forms, simple on the surface and easy to use. Through them the facilitator will make suggestions, file reports, receive organizational information and instructions, communicate with other facilitators, maintain a public calendar, and submit local or area news to his or her site. Multi-tiered mailing lists will facilitate discussion and education among facilitators and among members. There will even be forms for members and the public to use to reach out for more information or to offer help and suggestions. In all of these, the magic is in the programming behind everything. Several of those forms and lists have already been completed and are being incorporated into the site.
I have been reminding you that, in effect, freedom isn't free, and warning you that the recovery and preservation of our country and liberties will be costly. Well, that part starts in earnest today. There is no more time to waste. Over the next year at least, the next two years probably, and possibly even beyond, you will be asked to support four general categories of endeavor. With both your time and your money. Those categories are: (1) the constitutional activist group that focuses on your particular area of interest; (2) an activists' support fund, so we can cover the expenses of targeted assaults against the constitutional perversions I discussed above; (3) a political action fund for the mass dissemination of candidates' ratings, and, (4) the LawfulGov.Org internet presence and facilitators, as just described. How much will you be asked to give? It varies, but here are some guidelines. You may join one of the aligned groups for which the LawfulGov.Org websites will serve as a portal. If you do, there will probably be dues, monthly or annually as set by that group. And you can make additional free-will donations, and donations in exchange for whatever educational items they may offer. We'll have no say in what that costs, it's their group. If you choose to participate in the activists' support fund, that is a monthly subscription for which you set the amount. Think of it as car insurance, except, less than car insurance for something more important than a car! You are being asked today to subscribe to the political education fund. Again, you will set the maximum amount you can afford, but keep in mind the magnitude of what you're asking for. Finally, you are being asked to support the LawfulGov.Org infrastructure to help provide the internet presence described above. Each site will cost about $25.00 per month to operate. That covers the hard costs of providing the physical resources and the personnel costs of producing and maintaining the site. There is NO profit in that. A comparable service to the general business public would run at least $75.00 per site. You can do all this, except any dues to specific organizations, with a single monthly subscription. We will take care of the allocations, along the lines described below. We are not going to require the facilitators to pay the costs out-of-pocket --they'll be doing the work, and it shouldn't cost them to do it if they're going to give up all the time it will take to do the job correctly. This is without regard to whether or not they can even afford it: they simply should not have to pay and work too! So we're asking for sponsors. However, each facilitator, as part of the planned facilitator job description, will be required to find at least one sponsor for his or her site. Over time, the facilitators will get enough sponsors and subscribers to support the thing, and maybe even themselves. Some will bring in many sponsors and subscribers, and there will be a financial incentive for them to do so. In the meantime, while this is being put together and facilitators are being recruited, oriented and trained, we need your help beyond everything I have listed here. Your advance donation now, in addition to your sponsorship of a site or two, will make it possible to build this thing out in front of LawfulGov.Org's growth as a group. It will put the structure and the resources there as they are needed, without the lag that would otherwise result from waiting for the facilitators to come on line, get up to speed, and find their own sponsors. To be sure, your help now makes the thing possible where it might otherwise not be possible at all. You see {{sob-story alert!}}, the people who have created this solution have already expended a tremendous amount of time and money to get this project to this point, and they truly can't stretch any further on a full-time basis. To meet the deadlines described above, we need your help now. For this to move forward, you must step forward, big time. Here's the deal, plain and simple. If you will make the financial commitment, we'll make the time and expertise commitment in return. Show us the support and we'll commit to a complete roll-out and ongoing long-term maintenance. We are here and ready to go: it's up to you. How much should you subscribe for, and otherwise donate? That's up to you. We only ask that you make it enough to make a difference. Of course, if you're looking to become a facilitator (by all means, let us know!), you're not being asked to subscribe or donate, you're being asked to find at least one sponsor. Please keep us posted on how that's going or if you need a little help. Another benefit of this project to facilitators is that we're going to be developing conversational scripts for facilitators who have no sales or recruiting experience, or no idea how to proceed in making an initial contact with a stranger. You won't need to be "a natural".
As our facilitators become more and more effective, those among them who do have a knack for it will find themselves being urged to run for office. We'll be setting guideline for such decisions, but overall, this will provide a second layer of action. Consider that to get elected to any serious position of influence in this country, you must be seen as having "paid your dues". What this is supposed to mean is that you've worked with people, done the volunteer and organization chores that prove your dedication, and worked your way up, in the process showing that you can cooperate and that you understand the system and what's required to work within it or change it without creating chaos. Of course, too often paying your dues includes unacceptable compromises and the destruction of professional and personal integrity. The good news? Successful LawfulGov.Org facilitators will have already done all those things that are legitimate payings of dues, while at the same time taking the opposite track with regard to compromise and integrity. They'll be perfectly positioned to sidestep the electoral stepping-stone sellout liability, by having paid their dues on a different path. They'll come to be perceived as electable by a general public who've watched them perform intelligently and effectively. This will remove the real reason people of our persuasion haven't been able to get elected. Our facilitators won't be viewed as fringe losers who can't make a dime and probably wouldn't know how to manage one if they had it. Our biggest challenge in managing this phenomenon as an organization will be helping thos facilitators to see that they must not make that jump prematurely and without full preparation. Fortunately, forewarned is forearmed. Another path awaits those successful faciltators who find themselves drawn to electoral politics when the time has come, but who don't want to be candidates. They'll have the necessary management and fundraising experience to work in, create, and lead, successful campaigns for good candidates. Together, these two electoral paths will supply the political machine that will be necessary when we start having the desired effect and the public begins to demand that the politics of corruption and power be put to its well-deserved end. Okay, that's about it. But do you yet need one or two of those "PS: bonuses" that you see at the bottom of direct-mail solicitations? We can do that. :-) Here they are:

PSSSST! Okay, that's enough fun for now. Now it's time for the pain. You know what you have to do: Go to the demo LawfulGov.Org site we've set up and check it out. As soon as you've begun to see the potential, go directly to the "Support Lawful Government" link (near the bottom of the menu column on the left side of any page), and sign up to be a sponsor or subscriber. Make an additional free-will donation, too, if you can afford it --this thing is deeply into the red right now and we need all the help we can get. There are several donation options provided, so you should find this easy. (Except for the parting-with-the-money part, of course!) The name is the URL: http://LawfulGov.Org -please check it out now, while it's fresh in your mind! Right! We have a lot to do and little time in which to do it. And the next step needed to have been done years ago! So let's get busy, okay? If you are interested in becoming a facilitator, your next step is to let us know. And then, to start thinking about who you can approach to become a sponsor. Or if you are so moved, to become a sponsor yourself. Or both, it's totally up to you. I thank you in advance!
